Two years after the local SEO build, nothing has been touched and they still outrank Enterprise across the North East.
Where JCS Hire were stuck
JCS Hire rents vans across South Tyneside, Sunderland and Gateshead. Their competition on Google is Enterprise, Hertz and Europcar, plus aggregators like KAYAK. A local independent has no chance against those brands on authority alone, so the site needed to win on relevance.
How we built the pipeline
We built a dedicated page for each town JCS serves: Sunderland, South Shields, Jarrow, South Tyneside. Each page answers its search exactly, and we put their day rate straight into the page titles so the listing qualifies the click before it costs anything. No link schemes, no tricks: pages that are simply the best answer for van hire in each town.
What changed
The build was completed in 2024 and the SEO has not been touched since. Two years on the rankings have not moved: number 1 for van hire Sunderland and van rental Gateshead, above Enterprise and Hertz, verified 11 August 2026. Organic clicks have grown from 633 a month to over 1,200 a month in that time. And because the traffic is organic, JCS spend nothing on Google Ads to stay there. Good SEO is an asset you own, not rent you pay.
